• U.S. Marine Corps Base Kaneohe Bay Hawaii Challenge Coin

This special coin salutes the outstanding service record of Marine Corps Base Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. Attacked by the Japanese minutes prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor, the base lost 27 Catalina flying boats and 18 sailors. From that moment forward the base trained thousands of Navy and Marine pilots for land, sea, and carrier operations that-once unleashed-defeated the enemy. In 1994 the US Marine Corps consolidated all of its installations in Hawaii, and Kaneohe Bay became Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Comprised of Combat Logistics Battalion 3, 3rd Marine Regiment, Marine Aircraft Group 24, and 3rd Radio Battalion, the base provides electronic intelligence and tactical support, and maintains three squadrons of CH-53D Sea Stallion helicopters, with attending maintenance and logistics squadrons. The Marine Corps Base Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii challenge coin is minted in bronze with an antique finish. The obverse features Hawaiian King Kamehameha overlooking an outline of the Islands, with "Marine Corps Base Hawaii-Kaneohe Bay." King Kamehameha was a great warrior, diplomat and leader, who united the Hawaiian Islands into one royal kingdom. The reverse is the United States Marine Corps insignia.

  • U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA Challenge Coin

Marines who have been (or are) stationed at Camp Pendleton will be proud to carry and display this coin because of the rich and proud history it represents. In addition to the 1st Marine Division, the oldest and largest active duty division in the Marine Corps, Camp Pendleton hosts year round training for all branches of the U.S. military including advanced sea to shore training along the base's 17 miles of coastline. The base was named after Major General Joseph Pendleton, affectionately known as "Uncle Joe" to his troops, who was the driving force behind a Marine Corps base in the San Diego area. General Pendleton advocated for the West Coast base from the first day he stepped into the beautiful Southern California sun and was so taken with the area that he retired there, even becoming mayor of a local town. This coin, minted in solid bronze and imbued with rich enamel colors on both sides, is given an antique finish. The obverse of the coin bears the insignia of Camp Pendleton, a circle and 'T' design based on the cattle brand of historic nearby ranch. The reverse bears the proud seal of the United States Marine Corps.

  • USMC 3D Eagle Globe & Anchor Marine Corps Statue

The Eagle Globe and Anchor is what sets Marines apart from other branches of Service who delineate themselves by occupational specialty or demonstrate allegiance to a specific unit through the wearing of a patch or symbol. The only symbol Marines recognize is the Marine Corps Eagle Globe and Anchor. During World War II, like the Army, the Marines wore shoulder unit patches, and amid all the fighting, the Corps had to weigh in on its design. After World War II the Marine Corps revoked the practice, calling it an Army tradition foreign to the Corps. Marine Corps recruits receive an EGA emblem after they complete the Marine Corps Crucible in boot camp. Receiving the sacred emblem signifies that recruits have earned the title of United States Marine.
